Paleochori (Aegean)

Type: Fumarole
Description: Area of anomalous degassing along the beach of Paleochori on the south-eastern coast of the island. In some points boiling water temperature is reached. At the restaurant on the beach some dishes are cooked in the hot sand. Widespread underwater bubbling with temperatures at the underwater vents reaching up to 127 °C.
